We’re a traditional school with years of village life and experience that gives the school its unique atmosphere and place in the community. Our children find themselves in a busy and enthusiastic learning environment where there is always much to do, see and learn. Here we wish to celebrate our success and general educational vision.

Every school needs to have a clear set of aims and ethos in order to pursue excellence.
Aims define our desired educational achievement in school both academically and environmentally. They point towards our desired outcomes and objectives that we want to achieve. Our Ethos defines our attitudes and aspirations for the school culture that we work and learn in.

In the Autumn and Spring terms our school puts on specific evenings when our parents can come into school to find out more about their child’s progress and learning. You can talk and discuss with your child’s teacher any queries and concerns.

IIt is important for children to have school clubs to attend that will help them find and discover their interests and talents.Clubs also help to broaden children’s thinking and give opportunities for informal fun learning that sometimes the classroom cannot facilitate.

The pupil blog is a mini website in its own right so postings into it will not appear in any of our “Recent Posts” feed. We do this to add an extra layer of protection to the school website as we have to grant “rights” to pupil logins to access the blog area. You can view all pupil blogs, however, in the Twitter feed.

Our School Workers, Supporters and Child Welfare
The governing body has a range of duties and powers and a general responsibility for the conduct of the school with a view to promoting high standards of educational achievement. Its responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– setting targets for pupil achievement
– managing the school’s finances
– making sure the curriculum is balanced and broadly based
– appointing staff
– reviewing staff performance and pay

Policy Documentation Overview
Our school policies show how we run our school. They outline the procedures we follow to enable us to provide a consistent service to all of our parents and pupils. Policies ensure that every child is treated equally and with great care in our educational community. You can access them through our documentation page. Statistics and Results Overview
Here’s where you can find out about questionnaire and SATs results.
All Primary School children in year 6 undergo SATs tests annually and you can find out how our children did by viewing our STATs and Results page. Every now and then we’ll send out questionnaires to our parents to find out what you think about school life. You’ll be able to view these results also on our forum.
